Treasurer

2026-2028

Robert W. Dove is a seasoned business executive and community leader with extensive experience in corporate leadership, infrastructure investment, and nonprofit governance. Originally from England, Dove has built a distinguished career managing large-scale operations and strategic initiatives across private equity and global engineering sectors.

Before transitioning into advisory and civic roles, he held executive positions with The Carlyle Group, where he led investment efforts in major infrastructure assets across North America, and with Bechtel Enterprises, an investment affiliate of the global engineering firm. His work encompassed directing joint ventures and managing complex public-private partnerships, particularly in transportation, water utilities, and energy infrastructure.

In 2025, Dove was elected to the board of Citizens for Fauquier County as Treasurer, a nonprofit dedicated to land conservation and sustainable development. He’s also serving on the board of the Piedmont Environmental Council, reflecting his ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship and community advocacy.

As the newly elected Treasurer of the Middleburg Community Center, Dove envisions strengthening financial transparency, building long-term fiscal resilience, and ensuring that the Center’s resources are strategically deployed to expand programming, preserve its historic facilities, and deepen its role as a cornerstone of the Middleburg community.

Dove resides in Marshall, Virginia, and is married to Kitty Weyl Dove. They both enjoy attending equestrian events.
