Michelle McNaughton

Michelle McNaughton is the owner of PLAYroom, a Middleburg main street toy store dedicated to fostering creativity, imagination, and connection within the community. A native resident of Middleburg, Michelle attended local schools, including The Hill School and Wakefield School, developing a deep-rooted appreciation for the town and its traditions from an early age.
Michelle is actively involved in local leadership, having served on the boards of the Middleburg Business and Professional Association and most recently Visit Loudoun. Michelle's strong commitment to local engagement is both professional and personal.
Community involvement is a central part of Michellle’s family life. Her husband, Chris, serves as Vice Mayor, and their son, Maverick, attends Middleburg Community Charter School. As a family, they actively participate in local events and take pride in supporting and strengthening the vibrant Middleburg community.
Having spent many childhood evenings at the Middleburg Community Center—whether perfecting dance skills at cotillion or gathering with neighbors for community bingo— Michelle experienced firsthand the Center’s unique ability to bring people together. Today, she remains passionate about the Community Center’s vital role in fostering connection, preserving tradition, and uniting the town across generations.
