Laurie Salama

Secretary
2026-2028
Laurie Salama serves as the newly elected Board Secretary of the Middleburg Community Center, bringing both professional acumen and deep community commitment to the role. A long-time Middleburg resident, Laurie has extensive experience managing complex infrastructure information technology programs and projects, along with leading and motivating teams to deliver results. Her career has included responsibilities for quality assurance and people-centered leadership, skills she has applied across both her professional work and volunteer engagements.
In addition to her board service with the Middleburg Community Center, Laurie contributes to the Town of Middleburg’s civic life through participation on local committees, including the Middleburg Sustainability Committee and Middleburg Arts and Community Events Committee, where she advocates for environmental stewardship, cultural initiatives, and public engagement.
As Board Secretary, Laurie’s vision is to enhance the Center’s transparency and governance practices while strengthening communication among board members, staff, and community stakeholders. She aims to support the organization’s mission by helping to ensure that the Middleburg Community Center remains a welcoming, well-managed hub for cultural, educational, and social activities. Laurie is also proudly stewarding the MCC's partnership with the YMCA to enhance our summer programming and pool operations.
